The ISHS Conference is a great opportunity to share and appreciate the latest developments in the field of Humor Studies. It is also a great time to submerge yourself in humor-related workshops, to participate in round tables and network with fellow humor enthusiasts who devote their time and energy to a better understanding of humor and its various impacts on our lives.

Registration fees are payable online (by credit card) through the conference website. Early registration is $250 for ISHS members and $300 for non-members, due by March 1, 2017. We also plan to offer $125 early registration fee for students and humor professionals to enable local and international graduate students, as well as artists who work in the field of humor, to take part in the event. Indeed, the Observatoire de l’Humour, who is hosting the event, promotes interaction between academics interested in studying humor and practitioners who make (sometimes a poor) living out of it. This mix of interests and knowledge always leads to enlightening discussions and conclusions. After March 1, the registration will be $300, $350, $150 and $175, respectively. The registration fees include:
- The Opening cocktail reception (food and one drink)
- The Closing banquet (three-course meal and two bottles of wine per table of eight)
- Coffee breaks (coffee, tea, pastries and fruit)
- The attendee “survival kit” (program, maps, references for attractions, festivals, etc.)
(In Canadian dollars)
